i hate saying goodbye--twice is even worse
Change is a good thing--but that means i (we) have to forego our existing relationships. i've found this to have tugged on my heart strings. since the move, kendra won't be able to ride the bus to school--she LOVES and is very attatched to her bus driver Tony. it's been so comforting to know my little girl was well taken care of while she enjoyed her social hour on the bus. caden has since switched over to the new school district and already started receiving speech therapy there. actually the school child psychologist and their occupational therapist are in the mix getting to know caden too--kinda startin' over again but that's ok. sadly he had his last session with Virginia at Spreckels School today, brady and raylee have gotten to play while caden was does his sessions. the kids (and I) wrote notes, took butterscotch banana zuccini bread and flowers to our beloved helpers.
i didn't realize how important the people who care for my children really are. i'm silly huh, is it weird to have gotten choked up as i was buying the flowers for these ladies--i know i'm a big softie.

Ode to mi mama!--& aunt cindy
My mom has been showing me floor plans ever since i can remember. she loves houses, and all that goes in to making it your home. So i was ever so lucky to have her superlative sewing skills, painting perfection and excellent eye to help me decorate like crazy our new house. Window treatments are her specialty and my aunt Cindy is an animal with a paint roller. We made a great trio for the 4 days and 5 nights we had to overhaul the place--check it out.
They got lots of quality time with my kids and of course we enjoyed food, laughs, reality tv and late nite chats. we worked hard and played hard. i'll show more pics of the rooms as they get some finishing touches, but i wanted to post this quickly to let them know how much i appreciated them traveling down to help my home and have a great visit--love you two crazy girls.

Brady-Brade is 4--and he "is BIG"!
My silly silly boy had his robot themed birthday party and goll--ly was he cute, and funny. The robot fascination started with a $4 brown robot shirt I got him and ever since he's just crazy about 'em. Grandma VoFo and Aunt Cindy were her for it, and Uncle Ryan hand made his awesome robot costume. I made Popeye's pink lasagna (with spinach and alfredo sauce) and a very chocolaty robot cake. New fun toys to play with and robot arms for all made it a great evening. We have a wonderful, fun and talented family to celebrate with. We love our Brady boy--happy birthday bud.

painting the bricks red, i'm painting the bricks red
Feel lucky, i actually quoted a movie (Alice in Wonderland--Queen of Hearts scene). anywho, here are some of our first projects in the house, the famous window wall(jared's big one), sanding the floors, the beloved fireplace and the dijon mustard paint going in the rec room--hoping i like the color with the carpet. for only gettin in a few days ago we are jammin, but it seems so slow to us. we really are enjoying working together on our biggest investment.
