picture day 2009--why do i stress out???

why do i care so much about how my well my kids photograph at school? i think it stems with my obesession with hair and how my first child has amazing hair to get all gussied up. then moving down to cadens heart-melting-smile and brady's light-in his-eyes i guess i just want that bottled up and in a 8x10 format. raylee had to be part of it all and notice cadens is not in here. his bus comes so early i was too rushed to get my own picture of him before he headed off. im predicting my expectations won't be met for perfection but at least i know how cute they really are--to me at least.

yes, picture day stress! I had it at one point too. Not anymore 'cause it's just not worth it! Maggie's Kindergarten picture was beautiful and it's gone downhill from there. Ty's Kindergarten one was bad, so he's hopeless. Good luck. We all know your kids are gorgeous, so no worries.

Does it make me a bad parent that I TOTALLY don't care about picture day AT ALL? I hate school pictures! The one you take at home are MUCH better and way more frameable. Hanging out with Amy has totally ruined me for bad photography. I only WISH I had her talent!! I only buy those stupid school pictures so that my kids can give them to their friends. In fact, I encourage my kids to pull faces at the camera on picture day, but the teachers won't let them do it. It's too bad, that would be hilarious!

Oh, and by the way, that older daughter is you in miniature! What gorgeous eyes!

You know, your kids are awesome Laurie. They're so photogenic. Always smiling, always (all right almost always) happy. Amazing! And you know...they take the "hot like ur mom" idea to a whole new level. I just hope one day they appreciate all you've done for them (genetically speaking, of course). I salute you!
love, Mo!
